Barbara Puttkamer (Peterson)

Yearbook Quote: "A beautiful face is a silent commendation."

Barbara passed away on August 5 of a pulmonary embolism.

Shirley Cimino Loomis sent this note:

Barbara had been going through chemotherapy these past couple of years for some type of blood disorder, but her death was very sudden & unexpected.  She has been living in Wisconsin with her mother & daughter.  She has 4 children.

Barb's mother would be thrilled to receive cards from Barb's friends & classmates. Her address is:
Mrs. Hazel Puttkammer
8055 Fortier
Arena, WI 53503

Phone: 608-509-3882 (Barbara's daughter, Adria's number)

I hadn't talked to Barb for a couple of years so I wasn't aware of her health problems. I wish I had known so I could be a support for her, but her mom said Barb didn't want to talk about it much. I tried to communicate with her at Christmas, but she never responded back. Now I know why.

Thanks,.............Shirley

Another child from our class has left the nest on an endless journey to a place where there's no pain, no fear and weaver's looms strung with the golden strands of her hair await her there.  I didn't know you well Barbara but I know you dated Dave Adams and used to walk home to the trailer park on Foothill.  You were quiet and shy the best that I remember and with a soft face that would light up the room during a power outage.  Sleep in peace, sweet child.
