A G Rated Old Memory.

Joe had a scar between his eyes because a boulder he threw at an outhouse bounced off
and hit him between the eyes.  Harlon & I drove him to Pomona Hospital to get him stitched up.

Taking him home and telling Alice Seemann --- was another memory that was not a funny.
He was a good friend!!!

Sorry this is late - recovering from pneumonia.

Will never forget the mini-riot in Boy's PE, when Ted Duncan went apoplectic and rounded the whole bunch up (must have been a hundred guys) in the bleachers. The authorites were beside themselves and the axe was about to fall as he yelled in his DI voice, "I don't want to hear another peep out of you."  Remarkably things went silent except for Joe's clear voice, "PEEP."  He was expelled from school.   What did he do?  "He said PEEP."

Joe was a dear friend and a great guy to have grown up with and into adulthood.  I would give a lot to spend an evening telling stories among the guys about our escapades and misadventures together..  Legendary.  Will miss him.  Regards to the family - your dad was a great man.
