REMEMBRANCE

Donna L. Morrison

Donna Lee Morrison, 60, of Claremont passed away July 12, 2003. Ms. Morrison was born June 10, 1943, in Alameda, CA and lived in Claremont most of her life. She was employed for 40 years with GTE/Verizon as a Facility Surveyor. She was very active in the Spanish Trails Girl Scouts for 43 years as a troop leader for the Daisy/Senior level, camp director for 14 years, worked on the neighborhood steering committee as organizer, registrar, and program resource person. She was a wider opportunity hostess, nature center volunteer and leader, and received many awards including the 'Girl Scouts highest; The Thanks Badge. She was a sister to all Girl Scouts and a friend to all, was a worldwide traveler, her favorite travels included trips to Hawaii, Yosemite National Park, and all over Europe. She was a dedicated fan of Elvis and an avid collector of Elvis memorabilia.

 

Surviving are her father and step-mother, Deana and Donald Morrison of Alta Loma, sister and brother-in-law, Connie and David Anderson of Chino, brother and sister-in-law, Patricia and Russell Morrison of Incline Village, Nev.; aunts, Barbara Thomas of Sonora, CA, Onieda Johnson of Victorville, CA, Verde Willis of Grass Valley; uncle, Lloyd Adams of Mission Viejo, CA, nieces, Christie Anderson of Claremont, CA, and Deanna Anderson of Chino, and dearest to her heart, her great nephew, Jason Anderson of Claremont, CA; and numerous cousins, relatives, and a host of good friends.

 

A private gathering will be held at a later day and interment will be private. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the Spanish Trails Girl Scout Council, or to the Yosemite National Park Fund.
